Prieto has been advising Engie Energía Chile S.A. (“ENGIE”) in several renewable projects that together represents around 2,000 MW, such as:
Solar Energy: (a) PV Coya of 180 MW approx. Prieto advised Engie in the negotiation and signing of a BoP (“balance of plant”) with OHL Industrial, an EPC agreement for the interconnection installations and the electrical substation and transmission line with Siemens Energy, procurement agreements for the main equipment with Vietnam Sunergy (solar panels), Sungrow (inverters and transformer stations),SOLTEC (trackers) and Ecoppia (cleaning robots); (ii) “Capricornio Solar”, for a total of 82 MW; and (iii) “Tamaya” solar power project, for a total of 122,4 MW. Prieto’s assistance in (ii) and (iii) included the drafting and negotiation of the BoPs with Global Energy Services Chile, Tozzi Chile and OHL Industrial and main equipment agreements with Vietnam Sunergy (solar panels), SOLTEC (trackers) Trina Solar (trackers and solar panels) and Sungrow Power Supply (inverter). Regarding solar projects ccurrently, our firm has been assisting ENGIE providing legal opinions with regard to contractual issues, claims, amendments and environmental matters to the different contracts and in general advising ENGIE permanently in the implementation of the Projects.
Wind Energy: (i) “Calama” wind energy project, for a total of 162 MW; (b) “Vientos del Loa” wind energy project, for a total of 204,6 MW; and (c) “Lomas de Taltal” wind energy project, for a total of 353,4 MW. Regarding Lomas de Taltal wind project, Prieto is currently advising ENGIE in the negotiation of EPC, BoP, supply and services contracts.
This valuable experience has positioned our energy team as a leader in acquisition, development, construction, due diligence processes and purchase of non-conventional renewable energy (ERNC) projects.
