Engie Energía Chile

Prieto advised Engie Energía Chile S.A. in two different controversies before the Electricity Law Experts Panel, one (D-18-2021) in relation to the balance of ancillary services prepared by the National Electric Coordinator (CEN) and the other (D-19-2021) related to the implementation of certain automatisms for transvers control included by the CEN in an internal procedure.

In both cases Engie appeared as a third party supporting the discrepancies, and against the CEN, based on regulatory and technical arguments. In both cases, the Panel partially agreed with the claims and with the position of our client, ordering the CEN to amend the balance and the internal procedure in some aspects, respectively.
