Engie Energía Chile

Prieto advised Engie Energía Chile S.A. in the negotiation and signing of a “balance of plant” type construction agreement with the Chilean subsidiary of the leading Spanish company in construction services for the wind and solar industries, Global Energy Services, for the construction of “Calama” wind power plant, which will be located in the borough of Calama, Antofagasta Region, Chile, and which will have a total installed capacity of 162 MW. This project is part of Engie´s decarbonization plan, which implies the replacement of existing coal thermal power plants for new renewables plants, which in total will sum up to 1.000 MW and an investment of approximately US$ 1 billion.
