Prieto Abogados advised Engie Energía Chile S.A. in the negotiation and signing of a “balance of plant” type construction agreement with the Chilean subsidiary of the leading Italian group in construction services for the wind and solar industries, Tozzi Latam SpA, for the construction of “Tamaya” solar power plant, which will be located in the Antofagasta Region, Chile, and which will have a total installed capacity of 114 MW. This project is part of Engie´s decarbonization plan, which implies the replacement of existing coal thermal power plants for new renewables plants, which in total will sum up to 1.000 MW and an investment of approximately US$ 1 billion.
