Prieto behind Codelco financing

Prieto has helped Chilean state-owned copper mining company Codelco obtain a
loan of US$300 million.
The agreement was signed on 18 December.
Scotiabank is thought to have hired Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría
(Chile) for the transaction, but this could not be confirmed prior to publication.
Codelco will use the funds for general corporate purposes.
Prieto is regular counsel to Codelco, most recently helping it amend a different loan
worth US$300 million in November.
