Banco Internacional

Prieto advised Banco Internacional in a lawsuit filed by cryptocurrency trading platforms SURBTC SpA, CRYPTOMKT SpA, and Orionx SpA, which accused several banks of engaging in a collective abuse of dominant position by closing or refusing to open bank accounts. On December 21, 2023, the Chilean Competition Tribunal (TDLC) dismissed the case in its entirety, acquitting Banco Internacional, which had been sued for an amount of 30,000 UTA. Subsequently, on May 19, 2025, the Supreme Court unanimously upheld the TDLC’s decision, confirming that Banco Internacional had not engaged in any conduct contrary to competition law.
