Prieto advised the Chilean-Italian consortium “Empresa Constructora Bonatti – SK”, formed by Bonatti, a leading Italian company in plant and pipeline construction for the international energy industry, and Sigdo Koppers Ingeniería y Construcción, a well-known Chilean construction company for the international energy and mining industry, in connection with the negotiation of an EPC contract for the development of a seawater conveyance system, consisting of the construction and commissioning of a new 144 km long and 650 liters per second capacity impulsion system (“SIAM II”), to be built in parallel to the existing pipeline infrastructure (“SIAM I”) for the operation of Minera Centinela (owned by Antofagasta Minerals) in the Antofagasta Region, Chile.
