Transmisora Eléctrica del Norte S.A.

Prieto has advised Transmisora Eléctrica del Norte S.A. (“TEN”), and its sponsors in the negotiations for the obtention of the financing for the construction, development and operation of a trunk electricity transmission line of approximately 600 km with a 500kV capacity, that will connect the Sistema Interconectado Central (SIC) with the Sistema Interconectado del Norte Grande (SING). The financing was structured in the form of a Project Finance, and it includes an international senior facility, a local senior facility, the issuance by TEN of fixed rate instruments and an additional loan for the financing of the Value Added Tax associated to the project. The total value of the transaction is USD $1,040,000,000.- and several local and foreign banks and financial institutions were involved. (2016)
