Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited

Prieto advised Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited (“Fairfax”), a holding company incorporated under the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, in the corporate and regulatory aspects required under Chilean law for the acquisition of AIG Chile Compañía de Seguros Generales S.A. by two of its subsidiaries companies. The transaction involved advising Fairfax in different areas including the approval of the transaction by the insurance regulator Superintendencia de Valores y Seguros and the final closing of the deal.
