Maite Larrañga is Counsel of the Investment Funds Department and actively participates in the Insurance and Reinsurance Department.

In the Investment Funds practice, advises various domestic and foreign clients in the issuance of securities, in the formation of public and private investment funds, in the formation and administration of domestic and foreign private equity funds (limited partnerships), and in the formation of feeder funds for foreign funds.

In the Insurance and Reinsurance area, advises chilean insurance companies and foreign reinsurance companies on compliance with the regulations of the Financial Market Commission (Comisión para el Mercado Financiero). She has also been involved in several acquisitions and mergers of domestic insurance companies.

In the Venture Capital practice, she has participated in 2 of the 4 listings and IPO that have taken place in the Scalex market of the Santiago Stock Exchange. She also actively advises family offices and VCs in their investments in StartUps, as well as StartUps in their various stages of growth.

Maite has been recognized by the international ranking Legal 500 as a Leading Associate in the Capital Markets area.

She joined Prieto in 2013. Before joining the firm, she worked at CMS Carey & Allende Abogados between 2010 and 2013.
