Anibal Larrain is a Senior Associate in Prieto’s Financial area and is in charge of the Fintech practice of the firm.

Anibal actively works with members of the Banking and Finance industry, focusing his practice on the negotiation and implementation of different calibers financings, both nationally and internationally, advising creditors and borrowers. He has participated in the negotiation of syndicated loans granted by foreign financial institutions, financing of mining, industrial, real estate and retail projects, and corporate loans to finance company acquisitions, just to name a few financing figures with which he is familiar. He also leads the Fintech area of the firm, assisting clients in the implementation of practices aligned with industry-specific regulations.

He also actively participates in the areas of Projects and Infrastructure, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Liquidations, Restructuring and Reorganization Processes, advising clients on financial and corporate matters.

He participated as speaker in seminars and workshops focused on financial regulations, specifically those related to fintechs and the implementation of an open finance system. Likewise, he was a teacher assistant in “Commercial Law” and “Introduction to Economics” at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile

He has been recognized as Associate to Watch in the Banking and Finance category of the Chambers and Partners ranking, and as Leading Associate in the Banking and Finance and Corporate and M&A categories of the Legal 500 ranking.

During 2019 and 2020, he worked in New York (Foreign Attorney, Latin America practice, Willkie Farr & Gallagher, NY, USA).

Aníbal joined Prieto in 2020. Before, he worked in the corporate and judicial law groups of Cariola, Diez Pérez-Cotapos (2015-2018).
