Bernardita Zúñiga is a member of the firm’s Environmental and Regulatory team.
She advises clients on a wide range of energy, mining, and infrastructure development projects. Her practice focuses on providing comprehensive advice throughout the various stages of project and business development, including obtaining sectoral permits, structuring and monitoring environmental assessment processes, and representing clients in administrative sanctions proceedings. She also has experience providing technical and strategic advice in litigation involving environmental, regulatory, and public law matters.
Bernardita is also active in academia. She serves as a teaching assistant for the Environmental Law course at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and is a member of its Environmental Law Program (Programa de Derecho y Medio Ambiente), specifically its Research Group. She is likewise an active member of the Chilean Environmental Law Association (Asociación Chilena de Derecho Ambiental – ACHIDAM).
Bernardita joined Prieto in 2026. She previously worked as an associate in the Environmental and Regulatory team at Cubillos Soza Abogados (2025–2026) and completed her legal internship in the Litigation Unit of the Legal Division of the General Water Directorate (Dirección General de Aguas – DGA) (2024–2025).
