Josefa Reyes is a Senior Associate and a member of Prieto’s Projects and Infrastructure, Energy and M&A teams.

Her practice focuses on advising leading domestic and international companies in the energy, mining, infrastructure, concessions and desalination sectors. She has participated in public and private tender processes, as well as in the drafting, review and negotiation of construction, supply, operation and maintenance agreements and other contracts related to the development of infrastructure and energy projects, including seawater supply agreements, projects involving the reuse of existing infrastructure to supply water to mining operations, and gas transportation agreements.

She also has experience providing ongoing contractual advice to clients in these industries throughout the different stages of project development and execution, including the management, analysis and resolution of contractual claims.

During her time at Prieto, Josefa spent nearly two years on secondment with an electric transmission company responsible for developing one of Chile’s most significant energy infrastructure projects. In this role, she provided ongoing legal advice throughout the development and execution stages of the project and was actively involved in the contract management of the project’s main agreements, including matters related to construction, contractor management and contractual claims.

Josefa joined Prieto in 2022. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as an associate in the Infrastructure, Construction, Concessions and Public Procurement practice at DS Abogados, where she had previously been a member of the Litigation and Arbitration team. She also worked at Lagos, Maclean Abogados.

She is currently pursuing a Master of Laws (LL.M.) with a concentration in Regulatory Law at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
